Letter to Our Patients

Dear Valued St Helena Family Dentistry Patient:
We hope this message finds you and your family in good health!

Our office has been 100% open and fully operational again since May of 2020 with updated infection control policies and procedures. We want you to know that we have always adhered to the highest standards for infection control and recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), CDC, and OSHA.
When you come in, will notice some changes at our office which enable us to provide the safest environment for our patients and staff. These changes include the following:
-
We have installed plexi-glass sneeze guards in the front office, a NASA-grade air purification system, hepa filtration units in each operatory and throughout office spaces, UV viral and bacterial sterilization of the air in our centralized HVAC system, and are utilizing other innovative technology for clearing aerosols from treatment rooms.
-
Our doctors and all eligible team members have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus at this point.
-
Upon scheduling and confirming an appointment, we will ask several health screening questions. We will postpone treatment for any patient testing positive to COVID-19 or who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms within 14 days: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue. We are additionally screen patients and staff on arrival to the office, including performing no-touch temperature checks.
-
Please check in to appointments from your car! Upon arrival at our office, call us at 707-963-5269 or wave to us through the front door. When your room is ready, we will let you know and take you there directly.
-
We ask that every patient wear a face covering on entry and exit from the office and practice social distancing in the reception area.
-
We have hand sanitizer for your use at the front desk and throughout the office. We have removed hard to disinfect items like pens and magazines from the waiting area.
-
We ask that only patients enter our office at this time. If a patient is a minor or needs assistance, we ask that only one adult accompany the patient into the office.
-
Appointments will be managed to allow for safe social distancing. This may mean that you are offered fewer appointment options. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep our patients and team safe.
Again, thank you so much for your support. We are proud to serve your oral healthcare needs and thank you for being part of our dental practice family. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Dr. Varlakova, Dr. Tetz, & Team
